Summary
LoudParty does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data. The app makes zero network calls. No accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no remote logging. Everything the app does happens on your device and over a direct peer-to-peer Wi-Fi or Bluetooth link to the other phones in the room.
Data we don't collect
To be specific β here is a non-exhaustive list of things LoudParty does not collect:
- Your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID
- Your IP address or location
- The titles, artists, or content of audio files you play
- Track skip rate, listening time, session length, or any usage analytics
- The device IDs of other phones in your party
- Crash reports or diagnostic logs
- Cookies, identifiers, advertising IDs, fingerprints
What lives on your device
The app does store a small amount of data locally on your iPhone, which never leaves it:
All of this is in iOS's app sandbox. Deleting the app deletes everything except the App Store purchase record, which Apple holds.
Local link & peers
When you host or join a party, your phone broadcasts a short session ID over Apple's Multipeer Connectivity (peer-to-peer Wi-Fi when available, with Bluetooth as a fallback) so other LoudParty users in range can discover it. The session ID is random and resets every session β it is not tied to your phone, your Apple ID, or any persistent identifier.
Audio traffic between phones uses Apple's MultipeerConnectivity framework, which is encrypted end-to-end by default (AES-128-GCM with ephemeral keys). We do not have access to the audio stream, the session metadata, or anything else passing between phones.
Third parties
LoudParty integrates with exactly one third party: the Apple App Store, for purchase and subscription handling. Apple's privacy policy applies to that transaction (apple.com/legal/privacy). We do not see your billing information.
We do not embed any SDKs from Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, or any analytics or advertising vendor.
Children
LoudParty is rated 4+ in the App Store and does not contain user-generated content, advertising, or social features. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone (children included) because we do not collect personal data, period.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes in a way that affects users (it has not, so far), we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and post a note in the app's release notes on the App Store. There is no email list to update, because we don't have your email.
